Golden Blossom Pottery
- Raku is a firing method developed in the 16th century. An extra step is added to the method to create the stunning golden/orange colour
of my work. The unpredictable variables involved in the post firing process gives each pot its own unique character.
Raku fired pots are porous, the glaze naturally cracked, and at times the smoke residue is left on to enhance its appearance.
